Social-impact mobile game — gamified animal welfare funding through engaging gameplay
Pet Escape was a social-impact mobile project developed under Boozer Game Studios — a gamified product designed to fund real-world animal welfare initiatives. Combining engaging gameplay mechanics with a non-profit-leaning mission, the project demonstrated how mobile games could serve as a vehicle for social change while maintaining the polish and playability expected of a commercial title.
As Founder and Lead Developer at Boozer Game Studios (2015–2022), I led the full development cycle — from concept through Android release — building the game in Unity with C#. The project required balancing compelling gameplay loops with the sensitivity required for cause-driven content, ensuring players remained engaged while contributing to a meaningful mission.
This title reinforced my ability to ship polished mobile experiences across the full Unity stack, while also navigating the unique challenges of social-impact product design — audience alignment, mission-driven narrative integration, and stakeholder coordination between game development and non-profit objectives. It remains one of the most distinctly purposeful projects in my portfolio.
